Verst Logistics Announces Promotion of Todd Johnson as Next CEO, Effective August 1, 2026

Written by Chloe Mock | July 20, 2026

Effective August 1, 2026, Todd Johnson will assume the role of CEO of Verst Logistics and retain the title of President that he has held since 2019. Todd brings over 30 years of industry experience to the position and currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer, where he has played a pivotal role in strengthening operations, driving strategic execution, and supporting sustained growth.

Todd’s appointment represents the next step in Verst’s long‑term leadership succession plan. As CEO, he will guide the company’s strategic direction, oversee business and operational performance, and continue building strong relationships with customers, partners, and communities.

Paul Verst, who has served as CEO since 1992, will transition to Executive Chairman, focusing on long‑term strategy, customer engagement, and industry relationships. In this role, Paul will support the company’s future while entrusting day‑to‑day leadership to Todd.

“Todd has been instrumental in strengthening our organization and positioning us for the future,” said Paul. “His leadership, discipline, and commitment to our people and customers make him the right person to guide the company forward. I look forward to supporting him in my new role.”

Todd has been a steady, thoughtful leader who consistently puts people, customers, and long‑term strategy first. This transition marks an exciting new chapter for Verst Logistics and builds on the strong foundation Bill Verst, Sr. and Paul Verst have established.
